Welcome to Yogatree
We are Lydia Holmes and Edgar Stringer, a married couple living and working in North Wiltshire. We have been practicing Iyengar Yoga since 1991 and teaching since 1997. Both of us are qualified Intermediate Senior Level 3 teachers, mentors and assessors for IYUK and continue to train under the guidance of pupils of BKS Iyengar.
We named our studio Yogatree inspired by BKS Iyengar’s book Yoga Vrksha (The Tree of Yoga), which uses the analogy of a tree to explain the eight limbs Yoga Philosophy of Patanjali.
We have been teaching Iyengar yoga classes in village halls in North Wiltshire for twenty years, and it has long been our dream to own our own studio. In 2017 we bought a 1930’s former telephone exchange in Corsham and Edgar has been working tirelessly to renovate the building ever since.
We are delighted to announce that after three years of hard work, the Yogatree studio will be open for classes in September!
Due to the Corona Virus pandemic, a basic timetable of online classes will also be available for those unable to attend live classes.
Due to the Corona Virus pandemic all of our yoga classes were being taught online via ZOOM.
From September, covid-safe live classes will be run in the studio with social distancing precautions in place.
For those who cannot attend in person, we will continue to run a reduced timetable of online classes.
Please see our Terms and Conditions for details on our Corona Virus measures.
We are delighted to announce that we will be teaching our Yoga Holiday in Turkey this year between
11-18th October 2020
